The two articles are very similar. Both point out the openness of Web 2.0 and how the technology is more efficient than Web 1.0. They both also point out how Web 2.0 could be used in the classroom.

I think the main difference between the two are the the style in which they are written. Batson's article makes the information seem much more relevant and understandable. The article by Alexander is written more academically and therefore is a little more complex.

  1. I completely agree about the two author's writing styles. It really effected the way I read and understood the two articles. I found I was able to agree more with what Batson had to say simply because I could follow it better. There is no reason Alexander should be explaining a complex topic in terms that no one can completely grasp.

  2. It is interesting how you commented on style. I also agree that Alexanders article was harder to understand and read through. It is easy to understand what Batson is arguing for where as Alexander goes many different directions in his argument making it somewhat confusing.
